Quality Analyst

Location:

Houston, TX (Required to travel and work from various unanticipated client worksites throughout USA)

Job Responsibilities:

• Review business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria in Jira to define testing scope
• Work with Business Analysts, Developers, SMEs, and QA teams to validate requirements and clarify functionality
• Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies: sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews.
• Design and maintain test cases/scenarios for functional, regression, integration, UAT, API, and data validation testing
• Perform automated testing using Selenium for web applications
• Set up test data and execute tests across AWS, Linux/Unix, Windows, Docker, and Kubernetes environments CI/CD & Release Support
• Support deployments, smoke testing, and CI/CD validation using Jenkins
• Validate containerized application releases in Docker & Kubernetes
• Perform post-release testing and production validation in QA/Prod environments
• Use Git for code version tracking and release coordination
• Monitor application logs and troubleshoot issues using Splunk, Grafana, and Kibana
• Partner with Developers and Support teams to identify defects, validate fixes, and maintain production quality
• Record pass/fail results and create test reports, defect logs, and status updates using MS Excel, Word, SharePoint, and Confluence
• Track testing progress and communicate status to project teams and stakeholders
• Maintain QA documentation and drive knowledge-sharing within Agile teams

Required Skills:

  • Hands-on Selenium WebDriver for test automation
  • Experience testing apps on AWS, Linux/Unix, Windows
  • CI/CD exposure with Jenkins and version control using Git
  • Working knowledge of Docker & Kubernetes for containerized testing
  • Log analysis using Splunk/Grafana/Kibana

Qualifications:

Minimum of bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, information technology, engineering, or a combination of education and experience equating to the U.S. equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in one of the aforementioned subjects

Full Time: 40 Hours/Week
