Business Analyst
Location:
Houston, TX (Required to travel and work from various unanticipated client worksites throughout USA)
Job Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyze business requirements by interviewing stakeholders, documenting needs, prioritizing requirements, and translating business needs into actionable functional/technical requirements.
- Analyze existing business processes, workflows, and systems; identify improvement opportunities; recommend and support implementation of optimized solutions using data-driven insights.
- Perform data analysis and reporting by collecting, interpreting, and presenting trends/patterns; create dashboards, reports, and visualizations; monitor KPIs and performance trends.
- Support solution assessment and delivery by assisting with project planning/scoping, validating solution fit, and ensuring solutions meet business requirements.
- Facilitate communication between business users, technical teams, and management; assess impacts of business changes; support delivery of requirements to testing/implementation teams.
- Create and maintain project documentation including BRDs, functional specifications, use cases/user stories, process maps, and flowcharts.
- Support solution implementation and testing, including UAT support and coordination with integration/end-to-end testing activities.
- Conduct risk management and gap analysis by identifying risks, recommending mitigations, and documenting gaps between current and future state; support defect/issue identification and resolution with development teams
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, business management, business or a combination of education and experience equating to the U.S. equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in one of the aforementioned subjects, or a combination of education and experience equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree. Education and/or experience in computer science or information technology is preferred.
